At 4am on Thursday, Dylan was born!

That’s Dylan my new son. 🙂
A little bit after that (I expect) a huge storm came in and cut the power off to the Ambisonia server.  Ambisonia has been down for probably several days.

ouch.

I havn’t slept in about 3 days (well, perhaps 2 or 3 hours in total).

So for now … I’ve got to focus with Kath on getting Dylan into a rythm. Then I’ll be back…

    Congratulations Etienne!

Enjoy being a dad – it’s great fun (and you’ll wonder how you can possibly manage on so little sleep – but it’s worth it).

  2. Michael Chapman says:

    Congratulations!

“It is said that his birth was marked by earthquakes, tidal waves, tornadoes, firestorms, the explosion of three neighbouring stars, and, shortly afterwards, by the issuing of over six and three quarter million writs for damages from all of the major landowners in his Galactic sector.”

With you as a father –and what must be an equally
wonderful mother (though she _must_ be prettier than
your picture on ambisonia.com)– he must have a great future.

    I wish him well!

  3. all the best to the three of you!
i was about to mail you about the server outage, but now i’m glad i didn’t 😀

take care, and once you’ve settled down i’ll contact you about setting up another permanent torrent seeder for ambisonia.com, as i’ve promised a while ago…

    best,

    jörn

  4. John Leonard says:

Congratulations to you both and welcome to Dylan. Time to take it easy for a while on the Ambisonia front, I think. There are more important things.

    Best wishes,

    John

  5. JH Roy says:

Sincere congratulations and best wishes for your brand new family!

    Jean-Hugues

  6. Martin says:

Who was he named after: Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan, or Dylan the rabbit in The Magic Roundabout? Congratulations. Remember this in the future decades, “It never gets better, only different”.
